What does personal care include?
Hands-on help with the activities of daily living: bathing, showering, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting and continence, transfers, and walking, always provided with patience and respect for each resident’s dignity and privacy.
Is this care provided in my own home?
No. Goshen is a residential adult foster home, so personal care is provided where our residents live, in our licensed home in Beaverton, with caregivers on site 24 hours a day.
Are your caregivers qualified?
Yes. Our caregivers meet Oregon’s adult foster home training and background-check requirements and are supervised by the licensed provider. Clinical or skilled needs are coordinated with the resident’s physician and home-health providers.
Can you tailor the help to each person?
Yes. Every resident has an individual care plan that sets out exactly what assistance they want and need, and we adjust it as their needs change.
