Dementia & Alzheimer’s Care

Palliative care comfort services for seniors at Goshen Home Care Oregon

About Memory Care

Growing older affects our physical and mental abilities. Creaky joints, arthritis and forgetfulness are all common signs that we’re not as young as we used to be. However, if your loved one is showing signs of memory problems then there may be something beyond the natural effects of ageing going on.

This is where memory care comes in, providing housing and 24-hour care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you care for residents with Alzheimer's or dementia?
Yes. We welcome residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia and provide care in our licensed adult foster home, where the small, familiar setting helps reduce confusion and anxiety.
Are your caregivers trained in dementia care?
Our caregivers receive dementia-focused training and follow Oregon's adult foster home requirements for memory care. We use calm routines, supervision, and gentle redirection to keep residents safe and comfortable.
How do you keep residents with memory loss safe?
With 24-hour on-site supervision, a secure and homelike environment, fall-prevention practices, and personalized routines. We also coordinate with each resident's physician and any specialists involved in their care.
Is this a locked memory-care facility?
Goshen is a small residential adult foster home, not a large memory-care facility. We provide close, attentive supervision in a family-style home rather than an institutional setting.
How do we discuss our loved one's needs?
Call (971) 762-3433 or send an inquiry. We'll review their history and needs and arrange a visit so you can see whether Goshen is the right fit.
